BRU LE LogoBRU LE v1.3.6 Released

Hi Folks,

As an extension to the mail support that was fixed in BRU LE 1.3.5, many of you asked to extend the support of SMTP mail transmissions through an ISP or other third party SMTP server by adding the ability to specify a non-standard SMTP port.  This has been added to BRU LE 1.3.6.

You may download the update to BRU LE from the standard download page.

From the release notes:

  • New Feature: BRU LE 1.3.6 now fully supports SMTP authenticated mail operations in both manual and scheduled backups.  This allows you to provide port information for environments when you need to contact your SMTP server on a port other than the default of port 25 - such as in environments where your ISP has blocked port 25 in an attempt to prevent SpamBOTS from sending mail directly.

Also, since a few of you have asked, when you save a mail password for SMTP authentication, it is saved in an encrypted format.

Thanks for using BRU LE!
